After almost 50 years in New York (and a couple in Chicago), the National Football League moved their 2017 Draft to the city of Philadelphia. The NFL approached Transistor Studios to produce a piece that not only highlights the City of Brotherly Love, but also the journey of two young prospects that are about to break into the League. As a nod to Philly’s vibrant art scene, the two prospects come across living murals throughout the city that showcases top rookies from years past.
The event, which was held outdoors for the first time ever, took place on the iconic steps of the Philadelphia Art Museum. The short film opened the live show to the 250,000 people in attendance, an all-time NFL draft attendance record! The entire spot was shot in just one day by Transistor’s Creative Director, Jamie Rockaway. All design, animation, and editorial were also handled in-house at TS.
